CentraState opens pharmacy in Ambulatory Campus

CentraState Specialty Script and Surgical, a pharmacy and durable medical supply store, has opened on the first floor of the Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus.

The pharmacy provides continuity of care for newly discharged inpatients and Emergency Department patients and those who receive outpatient care at the Ambulatory Campus, the Medical Center and the Donna O’Donnell, R.N., Medical Arts Building. “On discharge from CentraState Medical Center, patients may now leave with their medications in hand, delivered to their room by Specialty Script,” said David Gann, R.Ph., pharmacy director. “Along with convenience, this service provides increased opportunity for educating patients about the proper use of medications.”

Jim Karaman, CentraState’s assistant vice president of Operations, notes that Specialty Script and Surgical is operated by a separate provider from the institutional pharmacy at the medical center.

The pharmacy accepts most insurance and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. In addition to Gann, the pharmacy is staffed by Arik Yershov R.Ph. and Barry Beshkin R.Ph. To reach CentraState Specialty Script and Surgical, call 732-414-1977.
