CPC Behavioral Healthcare & Prevention First sponsoring Nov. 11 event CPC Behavioral Healthcare and Prevention First will present Christopher Kennedy Lawford on Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. at theTwo River Theater in Red Bank for an evening of awareness, selfdiscovery and communication. Designed for parents and teens, the goal of this event is to strengthen the parentchild relationship by opening up the lines of communication through shared experiences, dialog and awareness.
Christopher Kennedy Lawford, actor, motivator and author of "Symptoms of Withdrawal,"will speak from the heart about his real-life experiences that led to his path of self-discovery, personal growth and courage. Lawford's message is about attitude, choices and the strength each person has within himself to choose the better life."My story is one of survival and redemption. It is about asking questions, searching for the truth and finding the courage to be honest no matter the consequences," says Lawford.
Born into the Kennedy dynasty, Lawford was destined to achieve greatness with famous parents and a childhood in the glamorous worlds of Hollywood and Washington. Despite a successful film and television career, and extensive political action, he battled with drug and alcohol addiction for many years. Sober for more than 18 years, he is dedicated to helping others transform their lives.
This will be an unforgettable experience for parents and teens who hear Lawford's powerful message and compelling words.
Lawford does more than speak about overcoming alcohol and drug abuse; he motivates and inspires individuals to take on the challenges that we all face in daily life."Each person is given the same amount of time in a day to face what life brings them. Some struggle with and focus on the problems and obstacles. Some just live in the moment. Others focus on the opportunities and think past the struggles and obstacles that face them daily," says Lawford.
His message is simple:When we allow our imagination and our realistic possibilities to soar, we can confidently leap over some of the most overwhelming hurdles that life throws at us.
