Free child seat inspections to be offered Jan. 19 New Jersey law requires that all children under the age of 8 who weigh less than 80 pounds must be seated in an appropriate child restraint in the rear seat of a vehicle.To ensure the proper use of a child car seat,one of the simplest and most effective methods available for protecting the lives of young children,The Children's Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center is sponsoring a"Free Child Seat Inspection,"on Jan.19, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.,at GalaxyToyota,700 Route 36 east,Eatontown.
