Diabetes Support Group to focus on 'armchair' exercises The September session of Kimball Medical Center's monthly diabetes support group will focus on armchair exercises for those with diabetes. Kimball's monthly diabetes support group- which is supported by a grant fromThe Ocean County Office of Senior Services- will present"Learn SafeArmchair Exercises"on Sept.20.All support group sessions are held on the thirdThursday of each month from 1:30-3 p.m.at the Center for Healthy Living on the Kimball Medical Center campus. "Our support groups provide patients, their family members and loved ones with a forum where they can come together to communicate,and share ideas and feelings," saysTeresa Duffy,R.N.,M.S.,community outreach manager for Kimball who notes that the groups are led by professionals in their specific area of expertise and sessions are held regularly and are offered free as a service to the community. "By being part of a group of people with similar experiences, they discover they are not alone and they can help each other."
